Societies’ institutions are crucial for the world to achieve equality, equity and social justice.  Unfortunately, many of these institutions are fractured, maligned and broken.

Since 1958, the Ramon Magsaysay Award has been given to individuals who have worked to ensure that the institutions built to protect human rights are strengthened.
